This installation of work by contemporary Chinese artists addresses issues including urbanization, the environment, identity, and language. Selected by Richard Vinograd, Christensen Fund Professor in Asian Art, these objects complement the undergraduate course From Shanghai Modern to Global Contemporary: Frontiers of Modern Chinese Art, which explores the complexities of Chinese artistic practice from the late 19th century to the present.
